Debbie has spent the majority of her life in Las Cruces, New Mexico, weaving a
remarkable tapestry of experience through a wide variety of roles. Her career journey
began with hands-on work, including positions in roofing and factories, showcasing her
resilience and versatility. Driven by a deep-rooted sense of compassion, Debbie also
volunteered as a victim advocate at La Piñon, where she supported individuals in times
of great need.

Her professional path eventually led her to the District Attorney’s office, where she
devoted 27 years to public service before retiring. Yet, retirement proved only a
transition, not an end—Debbie remains active in the legal field, motivated by genuine
passion rather than obligation. The law for her is not just a career but a calling, one that
continues to energize and inspire her.

When she steps away from legal work, Debbie finds joy in baking, exploring new
destinations through travel, and cherishing time with her family. Her life is a testament to
dedication, compassion, and an enduring love for both her community and the pursuit of
justice.
